Landscape Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Bare Tree Hill

A traditional silk hanging scroll, this piece centers on bare tree hill. Sprays of bare tree gives the piece its immediate charm. For lovers of chinese mountain painting, delicate bare tree needs no introduction.

You can feel ink wash in every stroke. Both ink wash and restrained monochrome ink are on display here, soft at the edges and precise where it counts. Two details: the hill, and softly rendered stream. The details reward a second look: distant traveler. The scroll bears the painter's calligraphy in the classical style. Traditional scroll mounting gives it an authentic, finished feel. It holds its own among far more expensive art. A thoughtful counterpoint to busier furnishings.

It is a natural fit for anyone drawn to chinese brush painting, and bare tree hill is the draw. It keeps good company with other chinese silk scroll; hazy hill adds quiet interest. It is equally suited to gifting and to keeping. It makes a gracious gift for a teacher or mentor.
